PhysicsWallah (PW) has appointed Satish Sharma as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) as the company continues to scale its presence across online, offline, and hybrid learning models.
The appointment is aligned with PW’s broader goal of strengthening its brand and marketing engine while deepening impact across test preparation, skilling, higher education, and global study segments. Sharma will be responsible for driving integrated marketing strategy and brand building at a national level.
Founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey, what began as a YouTube channel has grown into one of India’s most influential edtech platforms. PW now offers multi-language content, tech-enabled offline centres, and a hybrid education network that spans across the country.

Satish Sharma brings over two decades of experience to the role. He previously co-founded Unyscape, a marketing and analytics firm, where he held dual leadership roles as COO and CMO. His background in performance marketing and brand storytelling is expected to support PW’s evolution into a consumer-first education brand.
PW reported Rs 1,940.4 crore revenue in FY24 and is backed by marquee investors including Lightspeed, WestBridge, Hornbill Capital, and GSV Ventures. The company is currently valued at $2.8 billion.
In March, media reports indicated that PW filed confidential draft papers for a Rs 4,600 crore IPO, which could make it the first edtech unicorn in India to go public.
