Shark Tank India has officially kicked off registrations for its fifth season, inviting early-stage entrepreneurs from all corners of the country to pitch their ideas to its panel of veteran investors.
Since its debut in 2021, the popular reality show has become a launchpad for innovative startups, shining a spotlight on ideas that span diverse sectors and geographies.
For Season 5, the show has taken an unconventional route to launch its registration campaign. Conceptualized by Moonshot, the satirical promo pokes fun at India’s relentless corporate hustle culture. In the video, fictional CEOs air humorous grievances about losing their overworked employees to the lure of entrepreneurship, taking a jab at the ongoing debates around 70-hour work weeks and toxic workplace demands.
Delivered in a tongue-in-cheek tone, the voiceover urges viewers to stay loyal to their bosses and keep slogging — only to flip the message mid-way with a punchline that reads: “Don’t apply. Because here, it’s not about your boss’s business. It’s about building your own.”
The clever campaign has struck a chord online, crossing over 7 million views and sparking fresh conversations about startup culture, work-life balance, and career ownership.
Since its launch, Shark Tank India has showcased 741 pitches, closed 351 deals, and facilitated over ₹293 crore in funding. The show has made entrepreneurship more mainstream and accessible, giving a platform to founders from smaller towns and less-represented industries and encouraging India’s next wave of business builders to dream big.
