Qubo, a venture under the Hero Group’s umbrella, is making waves with its innovative smart devices that promise to bring enhanced security and convenience to Indian households. These devices, ranging from indoor cameras to smoke sensors, are seamlessly controlled through a single smartphone application.

With Qubo, you can now answer your doorbell remotely and capture visitors’ identities through your smartphone. Additionally, the convenience of a dash camera capturing crucial moments while driving can aid in insurance claims – all managed within the same app.

Qubo’s mission is to create a smarter and interconnected ecosystem of home appliances that prioritize safety and ease of use.

Established by Hero Electronix, the consumer tech branch of the Hero Group, Qubo embarked on its journey in 2018 from Gurugram. The brand aims to provide Indian households not only with cutting-edge security solutions but also devices that blend seamlessly with modern home aesthetics.

It boasts an extensive product range, offering over 30 smart home devices, from doorbells to car dash cameras. According to Nikhil Rajpal, CEO of Hero Electronix, this makes Qubo the largest smart home and devices company in India.

Rajpal, with a background in consulting from Everest Group and EY-Parthenon, highlights that all Qubo products are interconnected, accessible, and controllable via the smartphone app.

In an increasingly security-conscious environment, Qubo addresses the growing need for enhanced safety measures. Rajpal emphasizes that while traditional Indian homes prioritize theft prevention, rising instances of violence and illicit activities have underscored the importance of advanced security solutions.

While global giants like Google, Apple, and Philips, as well as Indian brands like Wipro and Zebronics, offer smart home appliances, Qubo stands out due to its seamless integration within a singular app.

Building hardware in India was initially met with skepticism, as the industry believed it challenging due to the reliance on imports for components like semiconductors. Qubo’s early attempts, including a smart camera integrated with Alexa and a home hub, faced hurdles. However, these experiences underscored the importance of robust technology and reliability.

Currently, Qubo manages its components through three production units in Bengaluru, Noida, and Tirupati, relying on global sourcing. The company’s in-house development of technology, from software to cloud solutions, ensures end-to-end data security.

Starting at a competitive price of Rs 2,500, Qubo’s comprehensive home security devices are readily available. The company draws 65% of its revenue from online platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, in addition to its own website.

With a presence in over 1,500 offline stores, Qubo caters to customers who prefer a tactile experience before making a purchase decision.

Nikhil Rajpal reveals that Qubo ships more than 40,000 products monthly, with an average purchase value of Rs 5,000. As Hero Group’s prized venture, Qubo continues to redefine smart living, championing convenience, security, and innovation in every Indian home.
