Deep-tech startup UGX.ai, which is reimagining discrete manufacturing through artificial intelligence and industrial automation, has raised $1 million in seed funding. The round was led by Blue Ocean Venture Partners, with participation from DeVC, iSeed, Atrium Ventures, Point One Capital, and several prominent angel investors.
Notable angels in the round include Ramakant Sharma (Founder & CEO, Livspace), Prateek Maheshwari (Co-Founder, PhysicsWallah), Lovleen Bhatia (Co-Founder & ex-CEO, Edureka), Meghna Agarwal (Co-Founder, IndiQube), Asad Khan (Co-Founder & CEO, LambdaTest), Varun Pahwa (Pahwa Group), and Gopi Prashant (ex-SVP – AI, Salesforce), among others.
Founded by Abhishek Kumar, Ankur Singh, Ankit Agarwal, and Prakhar Nigam, UGX.ai is a full-stack Smart MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platform that integrates hardware, middleware, and software to drive digital transformation across industrial operations.
The platform helps manufacturers improve efficiency, productivity, and quality by connecting machines seamlessly through its Industrial Edge Gateway and proprietary communication protocol library.
UGX.ai’s suite of AI-powered applications spans machine monitoring, traceability, vision-based quality inspection, and MES systems — enabling real-time insights, predictive maintenance, and error reduction across production lines.
The company plans to utilize the newly raised capital to expand its presence across domestic and international markets, enhance product innovation, and scale adoption of its AI-driven enterprise applications.
“Discrete manufacturing is at a critical turning point where data and intelligence can redefine efficiency,” said Abhishek Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of UGX.ai. “Our vision is to make manufacturing smarter, faster, and more connected through scalable AI and industrial automation.”
Serving over 20 enterprise customers across automotive and electronics sectors, UGX.ai has recorded a 5× growth in the past two years.
